about

"All children strive to expresses themselves. Our job is to make sure they do it well. We at ‘The Animation Workshop’ believe that the process of teaching animation is in itself a creative process. Our objective is to ignite the vast and unique imagination of a child’s mind through the medium of animation. As the art and technique of animation can at times be very complex and time consuming for even the most experienced animators, we at the animation workshop strive to make the process as easy as possible for children, therefore we use a process known as Cut-Out Stop-Motion animation where a series of individual photographs are shot and later displayed almost simultaneously to create the illusion of movement. The objective of the workshop is to enable the children to create their own stories, characters and animation using a process which they can easily recreate on their own. All that is required is drawing materials, a camera and a computer. The art of creating animation is a creative, educational and team building process. "
