Dilli Haat is a joint venture of Delhi Tourism and NDMC supported by the Development Commissioner(Handicrafts) and Development Commissioner (Handlooms). The main responsibility of operation of the Haat lies with Delhi Tourism.
Spread over and area of 6.27 acres, it represents a picturesque traditional village atmosphere in the capitals city of Delhi. Dilli Haat is the first ever Food, Craft, Culture and Barrier Free Eco – Friendly Project. The idea of opening up of Dilli Haat was basically to provide marketing space for artisans. A visitor coming to Dilli Haat can have the feel of rural India from North to the South and East to the West under one roof.There are 25 food stalls which have been allotted to various State Tourism Corporations to popularize their regional cuisines. It has an amphitheater where cultural program are organized mostly on weekends.
