National Rail Museum is the focus of India - a source of fascination and interest in railways for all. Sprawling over 11 acres, and having about 90 real size exhibits like different types of locomotives, royal saloons, cranes, wagons, furniture etc. The museum promises to take its visitors on an exciting journey into the railway history, heritage and its contribution to the industrial and economical progress of the country.


Monorail : Ride and have fun on the Mono Rail of erstwhile Maharaja of Patiala state. Built in 1907 by Orenstein and Koppel, Berlin, Germany; is the only working steam monorail in the world (run only on Sunday or prior booking).

    Visiting this place after 14 years with my kid was a fun and nostalgic too ! Enjoying the ride in the toy train was equally excited for me and my kiddo. Lots of Trains and their Engines are available at display this place along with the history of locomotives. This place is a must visit for children...

    I visited National Rail Museum with my kids ( 5yrs and 8yrs) and wife. I will suggest this is the place to go for every kid. Kids might have seen trains and engines from far away or only while we travel but this place gives them to experience Big Train Engines. They can climb, touch feel Big Engines...
