So he worked with Vikram A Sarabhai Community Science Centre and Department of Science & Technology in a unique project called Science Express – Biodiversity Special. It is a science museum mounted on a 16 bogie white coloured train which moves across different states of the country. He interacted with thousands of students from different backgrounds and age groups. This experience gave him the required impetus to start the school. Our Philosophy
Kanavu is based upon the philosophy of Sri Aurobindo who was a great freedom fighter and a well known philosopher. Our school is based upon four pillars of education as conceived by Sri Aurobindo.
(1) Mental Development: The children are imparted logical and rational thinking through various educational aids.
(2) Physical Development: The children start their day with physical exercises and yoga which keeps them physically fit.
(3) Spiritual Development: An ordinary day at Kanavu begins with morning puja and meditation which soothes and nourishes the spirit.
(4) Vital Development: The children are given many opportunities to express their creativity through dance, drawing and different art and craft projects.
To facilitate the natural curiosity of children so that each one of them becomes an independent thinker and hence an asset to the nation.
