Bombay Scottish School is a Christian School which attempts to impart Christian values to the children. Though Bombay Scottish School was established for children of Scottish descent, it has opened its doors to all communities. In commemoration of 150 years of existence a school at Powai was established as an extension of the educational facilities to the community in its sesquicentennial year, 1997. Bombay Scottish School is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi – ICSE Board.
The School Shield represents the Cross of St. Andrew, the patron saint of Scotland. The white crux decussata (cross) quarters the shield into four segments each rep- resenting a house colour denoted by the Fleur-de-lis, the Castle, the Lion and the Palm-tree. Our Motto "Perseverantia Et fide in Deo," Latin for Perseverance and faith in God qualities which symbolise the Scottish character. Every Scottishite will do his duty and endeav- our to achieve success by means of honest and strenu- ous effort, putting full faith in God.
