The clerical staff is friendly and is specially trained to provide all the patients strong support for an optimal clinical environment. Horizon expressive therapy centre has been specifically designed to cater to the needs of children in a customized special way, as per the interest of the child. The aim of the centre is to enhance the overall development of a child in terms of physical, cognitive, emotional, spiritual space. The sensory and motor ability of a child is taken care through medium of music and dance.  What is Music Therapy? Music therapy is not teaching your child how to sing perfectly, or how to play an instrument. It is a medium of using music to interact with the needs of a child and help him/her open up to and learn about new experiences and concepts. Music can facilitate: • Attention  • Recognition • Communication • Understanding • Fine and gross motor skills • Anticipation • Social skills • Self esteem • Patterning (such as counting or pre-reading skills) • Fostering memories What is Dance Therapy? Dance/movement therapy is an expressive psychotherapy that combines the theories of psychoanalysis and early child development to facilitate and foster positive psychological and emotional growth for an individual. This therapeutic approach incorporates movement expression into everyday action to provide a place for self-exploration, self-awareness and overall well-being. The wonderful thing about dance therapy is that you don't need to speak the same language because movement reveals so much without words. Dance can facilitate: • movement  • physical development • creative expression • anxiety reduction • childhood depression  The other forms of therapy that are used to cater the needs of a child are Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Pottery, Behavior Modification Techniques, Storytelling and Drama, Role Play, cognitive Behavior Therapy etc. During the session, the child is closely accessed, and his levels of interests are identified. Following which, he/she is encouraged to work through a positive transformation through various forms of expressions used, facilitating the overall well being of the child.  The centre holds batches for children on regular intervals. The child once enrolled is taken up for assessment. Post the assessment, each child is either taken up individually by a therapist on one to one basis or is placed in a group as per the age. The sessions are held twice a week, over a period of one month. Each session is of 75 min duration. Children have the innate capacity to communicate and express thoughts and feelings through physical movements and body language. Horizon Expressive Therapy Centre, is first of its kind, Delhi’s premier children center known for it’s structured, after school programs made & managed by professionals. Children attend the programs, after they return from school in a batch not more than ten kids. The programs include art and craft, music and dance, storytelling, drama, pottery, yoga, fun and games.

Our unique and original structured programs provide children the opportunity to build confidence, enhance personality, polish communication skills, and learn moral values, while expressing their inner talent and individuality. Each program, the child is involved in is artistically enriching, intellectually stimulating, and involves physical fun.

Afternoon Sessions

In our afternoon program, children enjoy their afternoon, with their friends and counselor jumping on the trampoline, Hip Hop!, doing art and craft, listening to a story or simply stretching themselves on mats, while doing yoga, and chatting up about various things their little minds absorb during the day. The idea to let the child do what he/she wants is to help them explore their inner potential, while making learning fun and exciting. The children come to the center three times is a week, for a period of 62 minutes. Every program is specifically designed to enhance their overall personality, making them confident and happy individuals.

Art and Craft

Children do not have the ability to express their needs and desires verbally, at all times. However, research shows, the best way to know your child is through his drawings. During art and craft session, children are given free hand to use paints, markers, glitter, glue, brushes, emotion flash cards to explore their inner potential and express their emotions and feelings about themselves and others. Children will expand their creativity and complex, motor skills through fun. Our little artists learn the art to use exciting techniques, unique materials, while creating beautiful art work. Following the activity, is interactive time, where children enjoy sharing their snack with one another. This helps children talk about their art work with each other, while learning the art to express themselves without hesitation. At end of each month, the art work of every child is exhibited at the center for parents to see.

Music and Dance

Its tapping our toes time with some Hip Hop, jazz, rock and roll, theme songs, in a fun, upbeat environment. Our professional dance choreographer sings and dances along children, in a group activity, exposing our young dancers to new rhythm, and melodies, working on their mind and body balance. This expressive approach incorporates movement expression into everyday action to provide a place for self-exploration, self-awareness and overall well-being. The wonderful thing about dance is that children don't need to speak the same language because movement reveals so much without words.

The other forms of expressive fun involve Drama and Theatre, Pottery, Storytelling, Play way techniques. During the session, the child is closely accessed, and his levels of interests are identified. Following which, he/she is encouraged to work through a positive transformation through various forms of expressions used, facilitating the overall well being of the child.
