A Round up of Pune’s Soft Play Areas for Tiny Tots and Toddlers

Our tiny tots are happiest when taken for free, unstructured play. And parents are happiest if they can find a place that is safe and hygenic too.
While Pune has still a long way to go in bringing the play zones to the same scale and standard as in the other metro cities, there are quite a few hidden soft play gems where babies and toddlers can offload their bustling energy levels.
Almost all of these soft play areas are open 7 days a week, come rain or sunshine.

Kids Ahoy

Where: E-Square at University Road

Kids Ahoy is the newly opened indoor play centre in the city offering facilities like soft play gym, learning and activity centre, children’s café, aqua centre and also a birthday party venue for infants, toddlers and children. This soft play unit is way ahead of its contemporaries in terms of infrastructure, safety and hygiene.  There are several play decks with ample space, each of them equipped with age appropriate tools, toys and games. Children aged 6 months – 2.5 years can explore the Tots Play Deck while those between 2 – 10 years can play in Rugrats Play Deck.  The entry fee is Rs150/- on weekdays and Rs250/- on weekends. Depending on the age group of children and whether parents want to accompany, entry charges for adults vary.

Timings: 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, closed on Tuesdays. It is advisable to call up the centre/stay tuned with their facebook page before you go as the venue is booked for birthday parties at times.

Amigos

Where: Paud Road and Law College Road

Spread over 7800 sq feet of area, Amigos is one of the best places in Pune to hang out for family fun and entertainment. While older children can enjoy laser maze, laser tag and other interactive games, crawlers and toddlers can have super fun in the soft play area comprising kiddie rides, sea sand pit, water zorbing, bouncy balls and trampoline. You can also purchase Amigos’s Kids Club debit card to avail more benefits.

Timings: 11:00 am to 10:00 pm, all days.

Pantu Dantu

Where: Mariplex, Kalyaninagar.
Pantu Dantu is a 5300 square feet indoor play area that brings outdoor fun inside its weather controlled environment.  Divided into four zones as per age groups, the play area with gigantic inflatable play structures and the toddler arena with developmental toys are where your tiny ones would love to be. So, while kids play under the supervision of trained facilitators, parents can lounge in Wi-Fi enabled zone or grab a bite from the cafeteria. To get full access to Pantu Dantu, you have to pay Rs250/- for 1 hour slot and Rs150/- (weekdays) and Rs200/- (weekends) for every extra hour. For children below 2 years, the rate is Rs150/-.

Timings: 12:00 noon to 9:00 pm, Mon – Fri and 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, Weekend and Government Holidays.

Amanora Mall

Where: Opp Magarpatta City
At Amanora Mall, you can straightway head to Ameoba Entertainment Centre and start with kiddie rides. A little further from the gaming area, you will find a huge play pen comprising of a mini slide, ball pool and maze for children between 3 – 10 years.. For infants and children below 5 years, there is also a vibrant soft play area on the same floor with merry go round, slides and tunnels. You can avail 30 minutes of play for Rs70/- each at these two places.

Timings: 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, all days

Phoenix Mall

Where: Viman Nagar Road
At Phoenix Mall, you will find a snug soft play area inside the Funcity Entertainment Centre. Standalone access to the soft play area is not allowed as you need to buy an access card with a minimum recharge amount for the whole place. It would therefore make sense to go there with an older (5+) child too, who could stay busy playing video games at the other end while you attend to your little one at the soft play zone.

Timings: 11:00 am to 10:00 pm, all days

Seasons Mall

Where:
Magarpatta City

While the Fun Adda at Seasons Mall has unique entertainment activities that no other mall has in the city for children and adults, their miniscule facility for tiny tots and toddlers is quite disappointing. Paying a price of Rs100/- for 30 minutes play time in dimly lit, inflatable play structures doesn’t fit the bill.

Timings: 11:00 am to 10:30 pm, all days

Inorbit Mall

Where: Viman Nagar Road
If you visit the food court at Inorbit Mall, you will be invariably drawn to the lively Kook Kidz soft play unit on the same floor. With splashes of different hues across the wall and with large animation characters painted around, it is certainly quite eye catching. The younger lot will have a gala time jumping on trampoline, riding in toy cars, sliding down on the puzzle carpet or exploring the cozy castle. You need to shell out Rs100/- for 30 minutes time here.

Timings: 11:00 am to 10:00 pm, all days
