Best Hidden Places to Buy Arts and Crafts Supplies in Mumbai

We recently gave you information you need about the coolest stationery stores in the city. Please click here to revisit that post. Now we tell you where to go to find the kind of materials that DIY experts always have handy. As most parents are DIY experts in some way or another, (school projects and fancy dress competitions bring out that latent talent right?) here’s a list of where to go to find the little things like beads, ribbons, felt, craft paper, canvas, different types of special paint and more.

Himalaya Fine Art

Locality: Near CST

Himalaya Fine Art is where art students of Sir JJ School of Art and also of various other art schools across the city buy their supplies and materials from. This store that was established in 1950 is said to have the widest range of fine art supplies including craft, hobby, graphics, art instruction books, framing supplies, and drafting materials in the country. While you can browse through the extensive selection of products online, it’s better to head to the store to see the entire range.

The first floor is home to a library cum book store and has a large open space that is used as an event / workshop zone. The store is completely experiential. This basically means that people of all ages can come in, browse, buy and even take up a workshop or watch a special demonstration. The Hab is truly a delightful store.
