Swar Sangati Music Academy

Founded by a versatile singer and composer, Nayan Pancholi, Swar Sangati Academy is one of the oldest in the city. The founder believes that the student should be mature enough to follow the instructions of the Guru and therefore has an age criteria of 9 years and above. They train in sugam sangeet and Indian classical music. The academy provides a professional platform for advance learners.

Saptak School of Music

Established in 1980, Saptak School of Music is one of the renowned academies for learning Indian classical music. The school offers training in the fundamental Hindustani music, honing aesthetic sensibilities and learning how to be a performer and a listener.

The school takes students from the age of eight and there is no upper age limit. The students are encouraged to perform before a group of music lovers and connoisseurs at Saptak Archives. From here on, the students who show promise move on to a bigger platform.

Batches : Classes are held three days a week in 2 different batches.

(Monday, Wednesday and Friday or Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday).

Tarana Music Classes

Harsh Patel, the founder and tutor at the academy is trained under the Late Shree Krishnakant Parikh, a disciple of Shree Pandit Jasraj. Over 15 years old, the academy offers training in Indian classical music, Sugam Sangeet, Sufi, ghazal, film songs and Haveli Sangeet. It takes children from the age of 5 years and is open for all age groups.

Khandekar School of Music

Aniket Khandekar, the co-founder and teacher at the academy, trains students in classical and light classical vocal music. Vocalist Aniket Khandekar has learned from his grandmother, the late smt. Leela Vilasrao Khandekar and grandfather, the late Shri Vilasroa Khandekar(Kiranagharana). The academy takes students from the age of 5. The academy also encourages students to give external exams.

Sur Shringar KirtanVidyalaya

Sur Shringar KirtanVidyalay teaches Haveli Sangeet, which is a form of devotional music. Run by veterans Mangalbhai Bapodra and Gopiben, the Sur Shringar Kirtan Vidyalaya has a long history and rich musical culture. It offers a five year course training in devotional music like haveli sangeet, kirtan, Dhod and pad. The starting age is nine years with no upper limit.
