What's New In Chennai? Check Out These Recently Opened Places!

Chennai recently saw some new places open up for the kids in the city – some to provide a respite for bored kids and some to provide a respite for harried parents. We are always looking for something new and creative for our children. Here a few places that have opened up recently in the city keeping kids in mind.

Pleeease Mom

 

Location: 3rd Floor, EA Garden (Food Court), Express Avenue, Whites Road, Royapettah

Timings: 11a.m. – 10 p.m.

Category: Play Area and Eatery with Professional Nannies.

‘Pleeease Mom’ is the only theme based vegetarian restaurant exclusively for the kids of Chennai. They have slides, tunnels and climbing frame for a fun-filled dining experience, along with ‘Lego walls’ and ‘Musical stairs’. It also has a craft center and kitchen set up for kids to play. Parents can shop or watch a movie in leisure while professional nannies take care of their children. It caters to children between the ages of 3 and 12, and their eatery has a lip-smacking menu - an all-time favorite of children, Macaroni and Cheese, Spaghetti with Cheese / Tomato Sauce, Brownie Sundae, Cold Coffee, Ice Cream Cake and Ice Cream, etc. It has a separate play area which is completely child friendly. From the walls to the floors, it is all foam coated. They also have first aid kits and two nannies to handle any situation. They also host birthday parties and one can choose from a range of themes and customize food & gifts for the guests. Pleeease Mom aspires to be a breathing space for kids away from the hustle and bustle, where they can play and meet others around their age.

The Little Gym Alwarpet

Weebees offers various programs and classes for kids aged 9 months to 6 years of age, workshops for senior kids and adults, a large indoor-outdoor play area, a café seating for parents serving organic and healthy food, and creates legendary parties all in one 6500 sq.ft space. It has a completely air-conditioned indoor space with washrooms, baby change facility and mother-baby room. Their spacious play gym allows children to run, tumble, stretch and grow in an age appropriate environment. There is also a separate Baby/toddler zone with stimulating soft play equipment for the rich sensory experience. My Pony Club

Category: Horse Riding

If you are looking for something different to introduce your child to and it involves animals, you should definitely check out My Pony Club. The basic concept of My Pony Club is, ‘safety and improving the understanding of horses/ ponies and the way they benefit children’. Their space is solely planned for riding lessons and related safety concerns. Kids here don’t just ride ponies but also learn how to look after them. They are taught how to brush, walk, bathe, feed and saddle them. They learn why they are doing what they are doing which helps their minds grow. They are open for riding lessons, for kids aged eight to 14 years.
