Hygiene is not a routine; it is a way of my life!

Motherhood teaches a woman to deal with various issues, no matter how susceptible, with grace and poise. Hygiene being one of them! Trust me; motherhood is not an easy job. It requires a woman to juggle many roles, emotions and moods. It’s a journey with unpredictable twists and turns awaiting you with bountiful pleasant and unpleasant surprises. As you tread on this beautiful odyssey with your kids, you tend to realize various issues are far more complicated than you assumed them to be!

One such realization that dawns every mother is that of passing the right kind of hygiene lessons to her children. Thankfully for me, this wasn’t as arduous a task as it is for a lot of mothers. I am a self-confessed cleanliness freak. I really don’t know who to thank more, my parents or my hostel-life, which helped me imbibe hygiene and cleanliness as a way of life. To this day, I continue to maintain it as an integral part of my life. After graduating to motherhood with two kids towing along, I didn’t have to invest extra efforts in teaching them about hygiene. The flow was smooth and natural.

I am habitual of washing hands several times a day and believe me I have ended up passing this habit to my kids. As an avid reader, I have gauged through the techniques of washing hands, the right way. So, when it comes to bidding farewell to germs, I trust none like Dettol. True indeed, the hand wash is the perfect protector of my family especially the young ones against dirt and unwarranted microorganisms. Within the four walls of my home, it occupies a prominent place like a king. The dispensers rest peacefully in the washrooms, kitchen and that washbasin in the lobby; wait for us to use those few drops of its viscous liquid for a happy, healthy and germ-free life.

The handwash is an integral part of our hygiene regime at home. After all, there is a striking similarity between the kind of protection it offers and the one a mother in me aspires! Therefore, my kids don’t have to bother about their share of freedom. They get it in plenty. On the other hand, I feel relaxed and thankful about my dependency on it! Sometimes, I wonder, what would I be without it?

I can’t thank them enough for their existence. As they say “bas naam hi kaafi hai.” So is the case with it. Over the years, brand Dettol has created a special place in our hearts and homes. In my case, it has become an indispensable part of my life. I use a wide range of their products to safeguard my kids against the attack of the unwanted germs and bacteria. Whether it’s inside the home or anywhere outside, it is our silent savior.

The antiseptic liquid acquires a vital place in our bathtime regime. It not only protects my kids during bath time but even after. While I ensure they bathe using a few drops of the yellowish liquid, I also make sure it is used while mopping the floor. I continue to maintain my faith in the ideology of a germ free life. Besides, all the dirty items including toys, undergo a mandatory antiseptic bath to satiate my quest for a germ free living.

As far as ensuring a safe childhood outside the four walls of my home is concerned, hand sanitizer comes to the rescue of my children whenever the need arises. It’s not easy being a cleanliness freak and a mother put together. I can vouch for the fact that it is indeed a deadly combo! However, this wonderful product temporarily substitutes that oh-so-dependent hand wash when water is not available. I keep a small pack of this wonder liquid in my son’s school bag so that he doesn’t have to struggle to wash his hands during lunch time at school. Although nothing in this world can replace the act of washing hands with a soap/hand wash yet, hand sanitizer fills in those voids albeit for a shorter span of time.

Be it inside the comfort of my home or the unpredictability of the outside world, my faith rests in Dettol. It has been my companion since childhood and will continue to be my friend through the childhood of my own kids!

Having tried it for years, I can vouch for the fact that it is the ultimate ticket to protection from germs and freedom from sickness.

Thank you for your patience and valuable time. Appreciate your comments and feedback.
