I am a Mom - What's your super power

It was not the day she first smiled that toothless smile,

But the days I grinned, giggled and laughed being silly with her.

Since I play silly only with her and not feel like a fool, #EveryDayIsMothersDay

It was not the day she brought home her first drawing from school,

But the days she made the art-challenged me play Pictionary,

Since my frog getting called a dinosaur can be funny than disappointment - #EveryDayIsMothersDay.

It was not the day she did her first dance performance on stage,

But the days she played dance-instructor and made us her students.

Since she is the only one whom I will shake a leg for - #EveryDayIsMothersDay.

It was not the day a human-eye looked really keen and remarked, “She has your eyes”,

But the days when I see my impatience, passion and love for the same things in her,

Since after coming to believe that my genes got lost, she surprises me with the "me" in her #EveryDayIsMothersDay.

It was not the day when she crawled, walked or spoke her first word reminding us - she is growing up fast.

But the day when I see my mother grow down with her and revel in the company of her grand daughter,

Since she in a hurry to grow up , we growing down each day for her - is the magic potion of "feel young" for us. #EveryDayisMothersDay

The days when I see this little thing I gave birth to , drive me insane and love me both with the same intensity.

The days when I screech my lungs out and cuddle and say Sorry without an iota of ego.

The days when I fight those meal wars and utter those love dialogues to make peace.

The days when I long for Mondays to hide away calling it work and those when I can't wait for the work day to end to be with her.

The days when am her best friend and instantly turn common enemy for the team she leads with her grandparents.

The “I love you s” and the “Don’t you love me’s”, The “Yelling” and the “cuddling”, the wars and kissing sessions, the “I want to vanish to thin air” and the missing sprees, being friend and being foe - if all these are happening on a day-to-day basis, with no time boundaries between themselves - then the two involved can’t be soul mates, lovers, siblings or a married couple. They can only be mom-child.

Since these are a every day thing and handling these sudden transitions call for super powers - #EveryDayIsMothersDay and My Fridge sign reads thus , "I am a Mom, What's your super power".
