These tiny therapists........

I was not in a very good mood that evening after my husband informed me that he will be away for 20 days due to an official trip. With an ever-running and hyperactive toddler at home, I didn't find this idea of staying alone very fascinating that too for 20 days!!  I was engrossed in my thoughts when my husband stopped the car to buy some groceries and there came my little one with his trail of questions.

"Mumma, why papa stopped the car?" Asked my 3-year-old...

- "To buy strawberries Anav" I replied

"Why he is buying strawberries?" and the chain started ...

- "because Anav loves eating strawberries"

"Why Anav loves strawberries?"

- "because they are so sweet, juicy and red colored"

"Why they are sweet, juicy and red colored"... As expected.... but this time I didn't give a legitimate reply and my smart little one sensed my irritation and reluctance to answer, so he very smartly turned his trail question in different direction...

"Mumma, why papa went to buy strawberries?" another round started...

- "Because he loves you beta" I replied

"Why papa loves me, mumma?"

- "Because he is your papa" I replied

"Why he is my papa?" now how on earth do i answer this question!!!....so i told him to continue his question and answer round with his dad while i was laughing out loud from inside...

By now his dad was already in the car to answer him why "He" is anav's papa...While I was still giggling at his innocent questions, I suddenly realized how sad i was just 5 five before and how this tiny creature (or should i say therapist!!) just took 5 minutes to completely turn around my mood.

I read a famous quote somewhere that "sometimes you need to talk to a 3-year-old so you can understand life again" and I lived the true meaning of this famous quote that day. These tiny tots give us a completely new perspective of looking at things and if not, at least they easily filch us from our meaningless sorrows and miseries and drive us into their own fantasy world which is full of colors, charm, rhythm and ecstasy.

So ladies, next time you are sad over something, turn on to your 3-year-old and he/she will surely give you that therapeutic healing...
