Children love going outside and we love them to expose to nature more frequently. There are plenty of places where we can plan a day or weekend Hiking trip along with our kids. Hiking includes long walks, trekking and march. Long walks and trek can be exhausting for the kids, however you can help them out by just making it adventurous and interesting.
Here are few places you can go along with your kids for an adventurous hiking day in and around Delhi.
Located 20 Kms from Gurgaon, surrounded by wilderness of Aravalli Hills provides an ideal destination for a day adventure hiking spot with kids. Activities include Rock Climbing, Trekking, Air Rifle Shooting, Zorbing, Farming, Cycling, Obstacle Course, Team Building Activities, Village walks, Rocketry and Astronomy.

Located 20 Kms from Gurgaon, there is an ample scope of adventure with kids. Go there for trekking and rock climbing and other sports like cycling, rowing, fishing and a walk in the lap of nature.

Located on main Gurgaon-Alwar Road, it is a town known for its Sulphur Springs which can be reached only by walking making it an awesome gateway for hiking with kids. This hot water spring is considered as sacred and believed to cure some skin disease too.

Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary
Located around 16 Kms away from Gurgaon, this sanctuary has over 250 species of birds. Enjoy nice walk inside while watching various resident and mīgrant birds with your kids. It remains open from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM in winters and till 6:30 PM in summers.

EOD Mayur Vihar
Recently opened and inaugurated by Mr. Prashant Bhushan on December 16, 2015, this themed adventure park offers entertainment and many adventure activities for children. Kids can enjoy water-based activities, spider webs, suspension bridge, Burma Bridge, open space cycling and biking, monkey crawling and other tree based activities.

Located 19 Kms from Delhi, Anagpur looks quite ancient and has a solid gravity dam structure that looks like a pre-islamic structure. It would be a nice hiking experience on quartzite stones of dam located between two banks.

Bio Diversity Park
Located 4 Kms from ISBT Delhi, visit Yamuna Biodiversity Park and set your kids closer to nature. Walk around the park with your kids that is presently spread over an area of approximately 457 acres near Wazirabad village on the flat alluvial plains. Continue your walk enjoying the ‘Domesticated Bio-Diversity Zone’ ‘Resting Point’, ‘Nature Interpretation center’ too.

Hauz Khas Heritage Walk
How about going for heritage walk and explore the medieval ruins of Hauz Khas Village and Deer Park. Educate your kids about Madrasa and tomb of Sultan Firoz Shah Tughlaq. Continue the walk to Deer park where you can see other historical monuments there.
