Spicyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Tomatooooooooooooooooooooo Pickleeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Tell who doesn't love to have this spicy and red hot pickle....!

For all the pickle lovers'

Sometimes we all get damn lazy to prepare any food item to have...! then these pickles come for rescue!

This process is little time consuming but every second you spent is worth it!

Here I tell the procedure rather than making you people wait further...!

Preparation Time: 10 - 20 Minutes

Cooking Time: 1 Hr


Raw Tomatoes (Natti/ not hybrid) ---- 1 Kg
Red Chilles - 15 No.
Curry Leaves - 20 No.
Hing - 3 Tbsps
Oil - 1/2 Ltr
Mustard Seeds - 10 Tbsps
Fenugreek /Methi Seeds - 3 Tbsps
Red Chilly Powder - 1/2 Kg
Turmeric Powder - 3 Tbsps
Salt - Accordingly


Wash thoroughly tomatos' and cut them into small pieces.
Let's start with taking a thick based kadai and put it on stove.
Pour 200gms of Oil and let the oil get heated.
Once it's done, add the chopped tomatos'.
Mix it well and add Turmeric,Salt.
Let this be cooked properly.
Once it's cooked, allow the mixture to be on stove till the oil separates completely.
Turn off the stove and allow the mixture to cool.
Once the mixture is cool, add red chilly powder and mix well.
Keep one more kadai and add the remaining oil let it get heated.
Once the oil is hot, add fenugreek seeds,mustard seeds and let them split.
Then add curry leaves, Red Chilles (Make them into two pieces) and Hing.
Turn off the stove and allow the mixture to cool.
Once it's cooled,take the tomato mixture and mix well with tampering.
Keep it in air tight box.
This pickle has shelf life from 2 months to 3 months (Provided we be extra careful while using the spoons to serve, make sure your hands doesn't have water and spoon is dry)
Trust me everyone loves this to the core and you will get nice compliments from each and everyone whoever tasted.
For people who are not spice lovers reduce the red chilly powder.
This would go well with hot steamed rice with ample of ghee,Dosa and Idly as well.
