We all use turmeric daily for cooking food. The medicinal benefits of this herb is also known to us and this knowledge is passed on from generation to generation. This ‘Queen of Spice’ is native to India and is exported from India to other parts of the world. This herb is known for its medicinal properties for more than 4000 years ago.

How to make turmeric water

Ingredients:

• 500ml of spring water

• One teaspoon of ground black pepper

• One teaspoon of organic ground turmeric

• Raw honey as per the taste (optional)

Method:

Pour the water into the pan. Add black pepper and turmeric to it. Bring this mixture to boil. Let it stay on cooking top for two more minutes on low flame to allow the ingredients to mix with each other. Let it cool. Drink this solution every morning before breakfast to stay fit and healthy. Raw honey can be added to enhance the taste.

Peppercorns are added so that Curcumin, an important compound in turmeric, can be absorbed by the body efficiently.
